Client Review

We started with Denis Breen and Company in May 2011. I made contact with Denis after reading an article in the SBP about cloud computing and how this was changing how people do business. I was impressed by what I read so I decided to meet Denis. After a few meetings I was hooked on the Xero concept. Denis promised that the transition to Xero and his company Breen and Co Accountants would be smooth and I have to say it all happened with very little fuss.

Denis and one of his accountant employee’s Caitriona arrived to train us on the niceties of Xero and by the end of the day the staff of the three pharmacies had been through the drill for the changeover. We went live at the start of May and everything has been running superbly since. The change to Xero has meant that we have taken the book-keeping function in house. I initially thought this might be a lot to take on but it has really not been the case.

During the quiet times in the pharmacy the staff input the invoices on the Xero system. If there is a problem or a query we don’t have to worry because at the click of a mouse we can contact Denis’s office by skype which he set up in the three pharmacies. The call is answered promptly and we can not only speak but we can also see each other by webcam! We find this great because problems are sorted immediately rather that long fingering them until the next time we “have to” contact the accountant. Calling Denis and his team does not tie up my business lines because we use skype to call them so business is uninterrupted. And to top it all Denis has guaranteed a 10% reduction in our accounting fees!

In summary Xero and Breen and Co are great for my businesses and I look forward to the time in the not too distant future when I can view all my financials in real time at a time and location of my choosing.
